This year February in Milan has pleased me with a warm and sunny weather, opportunity to see and participate in a crazy race called Milan Fashion Week. And here it is - the list of the most significant trends from the runways.

Red - is my favourite color. That's why I was happy to see it in dresses, accessories and in the details of each collection.

Ermanno Scervino shown us red trousers, turtleneck, long red dress and also accessories and bags of the same color.

Military in all its forms remains one of the most popular trend for this autumn. With the latest political events in the world, the ideas of the revolution and the struggle for equal rights traced in many collections.
Stella Jean took an inspiration for her eclectic collection from Cold War between the USSR and the US, using as decoration medals, prints with winter landscapes of Russian villages, and creating a symbol from a five-pointed star, scissors and a needle with a thread on a red background, copying the flag of the Soviet Union.

The name of the collection Ermanno Scervino autumn / winter 2017-18 "The Soldier of Love" confirms its militaristic orientation, and the coat over a small laced red dress, high boots and sewn shoulder straps enhance the effect.

Nude or natural beige is another color trend of this fall. It does not suit everyone, you must choose a shade with care or mix it with bright accessories, otherwise you risk turning into a pale mole. But for those who are lucky this color will help look noble and fresh.

Quilting and patchwork look similar but only at first sight. You can find differences in both technique and appearance. Quilting is a broader concept that includes at the same time patchwork, appliqué, collage and embroidery.
Designers who create collections in ethno style, could not help using this trend.

Yellow is the second bright color of autumn and winter of this year. I really hope that it can be found in outerwear stores, then the days will not be so gloomy.

Among all the designers who used tranparent materials, Giorgio Armani stood out with his filigree: he managed to add that exact amount of transparency to make it look not only as runway outfit, but also as a wardrobe item which almost any woman can try on.

But the most important thing in using trends is not to follow them blindly, but to understand what is right for you. On the runway we see only an option offered by the designer, we have the right to choose what we like and what we don't like, how to combine it with each other and how to adapt the fashion to the real life.
